Baba ji was born in Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur district area on Chet 1813 Bikrami Samat / 1756 A.D.
On his birth they read Gurbani and got a Jyotshi Pandit to make a kundlee for him. The pandit prophesied that the boy would have all the great qualities and would be a great soul.
His parents were Baba Ajit Singh and Bibi Saroopha Devi.
