Hair should be washed everyday.
You can also wash hair with desi yogurt once in a while.

Beard
Beard should be washed with water if dirty from top to bottom, right to left, then run your fingers in it.[3] You can also run the beard under water of a shower to quickly wash. It is forbidden for a Sikh to tie their beard.
