After the birth of her first son, Bhai Sahib Singh Bedi for 13 days Bebi Saroopha Devi did Japji Sahib for the boy and when his eyes opened offered the karah prashad. And for the Shabjadza ceremony of getting a nam Baba Je got the hukum “Sahib hoe dyal kirpe kare te sie kar karashese || So Sawaku Seva Kare Jesnu Hukamu Maniee ||”, From hearing this they named the Boy 'Sahib Singh” and distributed the Kara Prashad.
To protect the child from bad deceitful sight of bad people Mata Saroopha Devi consciously and constantly read the Shalok Sankrit Salok “Sir mstick rakha parbrahm hast kaya raka parmeshwara || Atam rka gopal swami an chann jaka jagdeshwa || Sarb raka gur dyalh bhai dukh benashnh || Bhagat whachal anath natha sarn nanak achteh ||”
She then did akhand path on upcoming the puranmashi of Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, as well as making prashad and disturbing langar.
