This surah teaches you how to meditate at night / feel the need to be thankful towards him.

Everything is created by Alha.

He conducts every affair from the heavens to the earth, then it all ascends to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by your counting.

5 / Allah conducts every affair! Day of Judgment will feel very long.

Reflect and be glad/grateful/give thanks for your hearing, sight, and intellect.

The only ˹true˺ believers in Our revelation are those who—when it is recited to them—fall into prostration and glorify the praises of their Lord and are not too proud.

15 / You too should fall in prostration or at least bow or touch their feet (if you are worthy at that moment/time span of last few days)

They abandon their beds, invoking their Lord with hope and fear, and donate from what We have provided for them.

16 / Maybe get rid of your bed all together and fall asleep leaning against the wall sitting down.

[Some stand up at night]

No soul can imagine what delights are kept in store for them as a reward for what they used to do.

Is the one who is a believer equal ˹before Allah˺ to the one who is rebellious? They are not equal!

17 / What ideal/dharmic equality is is often misinterpreted:

Equality means we should not put up prejudice/preconditions against people based on their race, family, personal afflictions but we should treat, if it is super duper clear that they are** Sunmukhs, (those merged) Sunmukhs different than Gurmukhs, (religious oriented people) and Gurmukhs different then Manmucks (Naf-centric people) and in most cases/by default we should respect authority (family authority, business authority, religious authority, community authority).
Though no-one is bad and remember God in the equation. Try not to judge people and definitely not be judgmental verbally -
**be careful who your thinking of as bad or even non intelligent/non wise as those people are sometimes
the most good and most of that quality. (And God Himself can make up for any thing they are missing)

If you can merge with God (as sanjogi/viragi/clear/pristine vs ragi/sarguni/bhogi) than a Sakhat/strict person (hard hearted person) could not affect you and maybe they mirror the Godness in you, though for ragi/bhogi/mundane people it is advised to run away from Sakhat/strict hearted person.
Side note:
we should never respect those that hit women, showing any respect or politeness to them is a huge sin/horrible quality.

As for those who believe and do good, they will have the Gardens of ˹Eternal˺ Residence—as an accommodation for what they used to do.

20 / Doing good deeds build you up a physical balance that may be accessible while your living too

But as for those who are rebellious, the Fire will be their home. Whenever they try to escape from it, they will be forced back into it, and will be told, “Taste the Fire’s torment, which you used to deny.

21 / This is why sin continues to blot your mind (until changed/reaccounted for/repented for/credited generously for) and physical reality (hukam/raza - greatness stored for-or not/hukam)
