Gurmukhi qaida

Punjabi is a fusion of many different languages spoken in the Punjab, Tibet, Pakistan, India region. Lots of the Gurumukhi script characters appear very similar and may have been derived from particular Buddhist scripts.

During british rule

Up to Grade 8 forcibly Urdu was taught to Punjabi students and after Grade 8 English taught.
