This surah shows how lying and defrauding [and also faulting - not doing best possible / adequate enough / sinning] is ugly and a wrong choice dreaded to haunt you.
Woe to the stinters;
1 / Do not cut His blessings unpleasantly / [with care of preserving]
those who, when they take from others by measure, take their full share;
2/ [There may be a bit of worry when taking things?
Don't take to things without thinking of the highest intention for them and how they
could benefit the most amount of people or how they can deeply impact someone or the combination of both
I should think: when you buy a gift for someone - it doesn't belong to you?]
but who, when they measure or weigh for others, give less than their due.
3/ When given a chance to serve others he does wrong and sin!
Do they not realise that they will be raised to life
4 / Using whatever they 'stole' will impact them negatively in whatever they pursue.
Whenever Our revelations are recited to them, they say, “Ancient fables!”
13 / Those committing lies are the ones disbelieving.
No indeed! On that Day they will be screened off from seeing their Lord,
and then they shall enter Hell,
whereafter they will be told: “This is what you used to give the lie to.”
15 / [They will cheat themselves and will not be able to see the God within their soul.
And will have to reflect back on that exact thing they did]
[The virtuous could see the misdeeds of the defrauders]
And what do you know what the Record of the exalted ones is?
It is a Book inscribed,
19 / Their life is an artwork
They will be given a drink of sealed, pure wine,
whose last sip will smell like musk. So let whoever aspires to this strive ˹diligently˺.
25 / So you should follow righteous people and aspire to get similar results / put / do similar efforts
a wine whose mixture is Tasnim
(Tasneem means height. Thus, Tasnim will be a fountain flowing down from a height.)
26 / The glory of good deeds will be very very abundant.
Behold, the wicked were wont to laugh at the believers:
29 / [Their are different types of laughing]
Have the unbelievers been duly rewarded for their deeds?
(There is a subtle satire in this sentence. In the world, the disbelievers used to persecute the believers, thinking it was an act of virtue. In the Hereafter, the believers will be enjoying life in Paradise, and watching the disbelievers being punished in Hell. They will say to themselves: What a reward they have earned for their acts of virtue.)
36 / Cheaters think that their doing good deeds (in taunting and saying mean things to believers, being happy at their "profits", telling people of their jests).
[I should not indulge in talking of praising/talking of elaborating on my own good deeds in the form of (scrutinize it/admiring it/criticizing it/ after it is produced) rather move onto new things]
