A Hukamanama refers to reading a random shabad from SGGS ji. When SGGS ji is opened the shabad appearing at he top left page first line is read if no shabad appears there which is often the case the shabad starting a the end of the previous page is read.
What is Hukam
Hukam means order divine order; will of god, royal erdict and nam means creative force.

Preparation
5 Ishnan are required before sitting at the SGGS along with having a hazoori sahib
