This surah may refer to the birth of a new deed (good or bad)
It was the first surah ever revealed.
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created / your Master,
1
taught man what he did not know.
Nay, surely man transgresses;
5 / [Beware to not be proud especially when taught something]
once they think they are self-sufficient.
7 / [Thinking that your self as self sufficient is a clot to smooth progress? / advancing rewards]
Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweenin / Most certainly, one exceeds all bounds
whenever they / he believes himself to be self-sufficient
for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return
6 / Humankind should go back to God.
Wait until shock is gone to think of future action. (Also don't think in anger)
Have you seen the man who prevents
a servant ˹of Ours˺ from praying?¹
9 / [Physically / beware of such people / situations]
Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)?²
13
📿
No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock;
15
So let him summon his helpmates;
We too shall summon the guards of Hell.
17
No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord).
19 / Make sure you're on God's team all the time.
