This surah may denote that if your on the wrong path materialist things will cause you harm (and not at all be able to save you).


Even though members of the tribe did not believe in the Prophet (ﷺ) they still supported him out of brothership of the clan. (Abu Lahab left his clan which was unheard of doing at the time)


May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and he ˹himself˺ perish!¹
